First Bale of Cotton . . Lawyer Stewart, of.JWest1 .Wattfree bears- the distinction of marketing the first bale of tfew cotton for the year 19 tf. Steedman ? at 12 l-2c per pound. of Mr. Allen j Jordan. Mr. Allen Jordan died at his late home near DeKalb last Friday. The burial took place onr Saturday, the body being laid, to - roflt at a place selected, by, him some time before he 'dteti.
