Tu Raise Supplies For The City of

Be it ordained by the Mayor and
Aldermen of -the City of Camden,
8. C., and by the authority of the
same that the following taxes be,
and the same are hereby levied for
the current year from the 1st day
of January, 19lS, to the 31st day of
December, 1912.
Sec. 1. A tax of 12 mills on each
and every dollar of real and person
al property within the corporate li
mits of the City of Camden, 8. C.,
on the 1st day of January, 1912.
Sec. 2. That all able bodied male
persons between the ages of twen
ty-one and fifty-five years, residing
within the corporate limits of the
City of Camden, S. C., not exempt
from road duty under the laws of
the State, Bhall work the streets,
ways and bridges under the direc
tion of such overseers as may be
appointed for such, a space of time
not exceeding six (6) days In one
year. Provided, that' at the time
of receiving the notice any person
may pay to the person giving such
notice three ($3,0.0) dollar? Com
mutation, which shall be received
In lieu of the work, and that person
refusing to work on said streetB or
to pay said Commutation, shall be
fined not less than five ($6.00) dol
lars nor more ttyan. ten ($10. 0(7)
dollars or be Imprisoned not less
than ten (10) days nor more than
twenty (20) days, In the discretion
of the City Recorder.
Sec. 3. The tax books for the col
