I Am All Mouth and Stomach
? "N * . .
Principally stomach.
I live in retirement under the desks of those with,
money to spend.
My appetite is large, and tho 1 am well fed 1 am al
ways looking for more.
My ribs are of steel, wicker or rattan.
They need to be elastic to accomodate the meals stuff
ed into me daily.
1 am never troubled with indigestion, but devour rich
food and plain with equal relish.
My mouth is always- wide open and engulfs indis
criminately the dodger of the piker and the brochure of
the spender.
Enough money is wasted each year in buying fodder
for me to pay for a flock of battleships.
A few printers have discovered how to produce stuff
that I seldom or never taste.
These you may know by their works.
Cleave to them, for tho they neglect me, they are your
best friends., *
I am the Waste-Basket.
