in honor of Miss Anna Mitchell, of
Rhinebeck, N. Y. ' "Consequences,"
and several other old time gauges
were played and the young ladles
present all contributed to an enjoy

the tea, made an easthetic picture
that charmed everyone, and those
who were not so fortunate as to

Death of Mr. Owens.
Mr. Isaac Owens, one of Kershaw
county*# oldest andbest elUaens,
died at the home of his son, Mr.
Bolton O^rens, last Wednesday at
1 o'clock,. Mr. Owens was 84; years
of age and no man ? in the county
was better known or more highly
respected. He! was at all times a
loy^l citizen, true friend and faith
ful husband and father. Mr. Owens
was laid to rest yesterday, midday
in the old family burying ground
near - Westvllle.
