ninth floor, and was waiting for H.
B. Wells, the manager of the compa
ny, who was due to arrive from the
North at 12:30 o'clock. Mr. R?y?
nolds had received a telegram from
Mr. Wells telling of his expected
arrival at that hour. He had fin
ished some work, and it le suppos
ed* was seated In the window when
he fell. He- was Instantly killed.
The body was found at midnight by
R. K. North, an engineer employed
in the building, who WM making his
rounds as night watchman.
Mr. North said that he heard a
fall about 11:80 o'clock. It la sup
posed that the accident oocurred at
that time. A careful investigation
was made by Coroner Walker. He
came to the conclusion that his
death was the result of an accident.
Heber Reynolds was a well known
and beloved young man and had
many friends In Columbia.- He was
20 years of age, the son of the late
John B. Reynolds, supreme opart li
brarian, and a well known author.
He is survived by hie mother,
Mrs. John 8. Reynolds; three sisters
Mrs. Henry L. Forbes, Mlse Sarah
E. Reynolds; and Miss Virginia V.
Reynolds; and one brother, John 8.
