Section VI. Thai any retail drug
gist whose place of business is situa
ted iu the (Jity of Camden, may law
fully sell aleohoi in quantities not
greater than live (6) gallons to bo used
in the arts or scientific or mechanical
purposes, and such druggists may sell
iu like quantities, to chemists end bac
teriologists engaged in scientific woik,
ui'ii /or such purposes only, and such
'druggists may sell in quantities not
greater than one-hall gatiou, wipe used
for sacramental or religious purposes
only. That any person desiring to
purchase aleohoi for the purpose set
out in this section, shili si<;n a written
or printed statement, giving hU name,
re*? deuce, occupation and purpose for
which hb intends to use said alcohol,
and h<? shall certify that said alcohol
i> purchased in good faith ffc>j* such
purpose and no other, and* that said
druggist shall, at the end of each
month, (ile witli the clerk of court of
Kershaw County, all such statements,
with a ctitilicate under oath, that said
stal 'inents contain a true statement of
all such sales,
Section VII. That all statement# or
prescriptions required by this ordU

clerk of the court for Kershaw County,
shall he recorded and properly index
ed h) him in a book kept for that pur

for public inspection, and a certified
copy (if such record, or the original
slat'uonl or prescription, with the
certificate of the clerk of the court in
dorsed thereon, showing that it has
hi??>r> recorded, shall be prima facie ev

court shall be mtitled to charge aud
collect for each prescription a fee of
fire cents, and for each statement, oth
er than prescription, a fee of , fifteen

Section IX. That nothing in this
ordinance shall prevent the sale of
wood or denatured alcohol.
Section X. ? That affy person rvho
violates any of the provisions of this
ordinance shall bo guilty of a misde
meanor, and upon conviction thereof
he fined in a sum not more than One
hundred dollars, or imprisoned at
hard lubor upon tho public works of
the City of i.'amdeu for a period of net
more than thirty days.
Section XI. That any druggist or
phytdciHft violates In any war
the provisions of this ordinancoVhall,
in Addition Jo the punishment herein
provided, liavo their license revoked
for a period of noi more thaR thirty
days for each offense
