scription is issued to the physician,
or to some one authorized by the phy

rent or guardian or physician or some
one authorized by said physician
Section VI. Thai any retail drug
gist whose place of business is situa>
ted in the City of Camden, may law
fully sell alcohol in quantities not
greater than live (.">) gallons to be used
in the arts or scientific or mechanical
purposes, and such druggists may sell
ill like quantities, to chemists antl bac
teriologists engaged in scientific wo: k.
and for such purpose* only, and such
druggists may sell in quantities uot
greater than one-half gallon, wine used
for sacramental or religious purposes
only. That any person desiring to
purchase alcohol for the purpose set
out in this section, sh:ill sign a written
or printed statement, giving his name,
residence, occupation and purpose for
which be intends to use said alcohol
and lie shall certify that said alcohol
is purchased in good faith for such
purpose anil no other, and that said
druggist shall, at the end of each
month, tile with the clerk of court of
Kershaw County, all such statements,
with a ctrtltlcato under oath, that said
statement* contain a true statement of
a 11 such sa'es.
Section VI J. That all statements or
prescriptions required by this ordi
nance to be tiled in the otlice of the
cii ik of the court for Kershaw County,
shall be recorded and properly index
ed by him in a book kept for that pur
pose, which shall at all times be open
for public inspection, and a certified
copy of such record, or the original
statement or prescription, with tho
cer title ate of the clerk of the court in
dorsed theroon, showing that it has
been reoorded, shall be prima facie ev
idence of the facts reotod therein, For
making such record, the clerk of the
court .shall be entitled to charge and
collect for each prescription a fee of
live cents, and for each statement, oth
er than prescription, a fee of fiftoeii
cents, which shall bo paid hy the party
tiling the same, as required by the
Statute law of the State.
Section IX. That nothing in this
ordinance shall prevent the sale of
wood or denatured alcohol.
Section X. That any person who
violates any of the provisions of thi?
ordinance shall be guilty of a misde
meanor, and upon conviction thereof
be fined in a sum not more than one
hundred dollars, or imprisoucd at
hart! Inbor upon the public work* of
the City of Camden for a period of net
more titan thirty day*.
Section XI. That any druggist or
physician who violates in auy way
the provisions of litis ordinance shall,
in addition to the punishment herein
provided, have their license revoked
for a period of not more than thirty
days for tach offense
