Employe Spartan Mills Killed By
Southern Train.

Acton, aged 20 years, employed in the
card room nt the Spartan mills, was
instantly killed by Southern passen
gpr train No. 38 at 5:20 Saturday
afternoon. The accident occurred
near Green street crossing in the mill
district. In getting out of tho way of
a southbound freight train he stepped
on another track and the passenger
train struck him, knocking him fully
20 feet to one side. When his bodv
struck the^arth he was dead. He was
a sober ami industrious young man.
