CAMDEN HORSE SHOW FINE SUCCESS

Tho Camden horse show opened up
Wednesday evening of last week* fi no
weather was as good as could possib
ly be desired for such an occasion.
There were probably twelve hundred
people In attendance the first day, and
on the second day, notwithstanding :
the fact that a circus was in town tho|
attendance at the horse show was even
better than on the opening day. There
were entries from Sumter, Columbia, I
Kershaw, Hock Hill, Hidgeway an?4
other points, and the visitors from
these points were quite numerous. A
largo delegation came up from Sumter ,
on the first day, among them being'
the popular Mayer, Mr. W. B. Boyle,
and Mr. W. G. Stubbs, Dr. E. S
Booth, Messrs. A I) Harby, H. D. j
Burnet and Geo D.Shaw. On Thurs
day a special train was run by the.
Seaboard, which brought in a number
of visitors from Columbia.
Tho show of horses was particularly
good, and tho management is to be|
heartily congratulated upon their
splendid success- This was the iirst
effort along llus line, but it is safe to
predict that nejet year Camdep will
have a still greater horse show..
