Mr. Kverard Btlton Cureton, fa
miliarly and oiFectlonately known
in Camden as "Sob," died on Sat
urday, January 10th, at the resi
dence of Ms. Bur well Boykin.
Mr. Curoton had been in failing
health for some weeks and his death
w#a not unexpected. He was a
man of kind and genial disposition
and by his unfailing good humor,
won a warm place in the esteem of
all with whom ho was associated.
He was. a gallant soldier in the late
War between the Skates, and in his
young manhood was married to
Miss Mary Boykin, a most excell
ent lady who predecesed him about
twenty yeais ago. He was a man
of many virtues and no vices, and
will.be missed by a large clrole of
friend* and acquaintance*. Be*

both of whom left South Carolina
