Misa Cora Carruon left yesterday
for Asheville, N. C , where she wilt
enjoy the mountain air lor a week,
and on tbe return trip bome she will,
stop in Columbia for a wcok.
A very large orowd went down
from Camden to attend tbe picnic at
the Stato Farm, but we are unable
to give & complete list of those who
went. We noknowlege with thanka
the recoipt of an invitation to attend
but regret that we could not be pres
ent.
Quite a crowd from Camden at
tended the unveiling of the monu
ment, at Stateeburg, to Gen. Sum
ter, and report having a pleasant
