vOur Roads Bring Trade *ro Camden.
Tho county of Sumter is making
*n effort to improve her highways.
. At ft meeting of representative citi
zens held in Sumter last Friday to
diacusa the matter, Mr. A. K. San
dt'ia u.1 Rafting Creek township said
he had given tl*c question of roads
considerable thought, and study.
Something should bo done immedi
ately. The people who are forced
*to use the roada^could not wait on
the chain gang any longer. He
said that he was indebted to Su
pervisor Seale but that there wad
.room for improvement. More sys
tem, ha thought, would help mat
ters in road work. Some of the
faru)?rs in his community go lo
Camden to trade because the roads
in that diiectiou are better than
those towards Sumter.
