Diepon^ary in Kershaw County.
At thp game time an election has
been ordered to vote "For Manufac
ture" or "Against Manufacture." I
have been a citizou of this C<$nnty
all my life, and for tlftoeu yoara have
owned and run a Distillery on my
plantation about two miles from the
Oifcy of Camden. I have invested
a greet deal of money in it and spent
a good portion of my life to build
up a good, honest business. I pay
a liconso of Ono Tbt usand Dollars
to the County of Kershaw and the
City of Camden and Bethune. 1

"Against Manufacture," yon take
my property away from me, in my
old age, without paying me auytlrug
