Take Revenge on a Farmer For Cru*

Tjomlon, Ohio.--George II. Ward,
a farmer, near Roscoe, Madison Coun
ty, was soundly whipped by sixteen
women because of his alleged con
tinual whipping of his wife and other
cruelties to her.
Mrs, Ward died and Ward burled
her, digging the grave himself to save
expenses. The women met at an ap
pointed place armed with buggy
whins. When Ward came from the
grave they pounced upon him and
boaf. him, crying, "Roast," "Rrute,"
and "Dog."
Mrs. Word before her death tiled
a petition for divorce, allegiug cruel

holes and under-arm seams sewed up.
