The executive committee of the State Press Association met this week in Columbia and adopted res olutions aullioiizing President Aull to urge the delegation iu Congress to protest agatust the enactment of a proposed postal measure which would be a hardship on, the weekly press. The postal laws are violated flagrantly by alleged news publica tions which are no more than ad vertising bulletins for commercial houses, but the "country" nmjrspa "f>eis, bona flde papers, hnvo been hit hard>uongh in one year by tlif railrosd rate law and they would dislike to have another hardship put upon thetu. It was dec.dud to have the annual meeting of the association in Charleston between tho dates May G 15, as thu invitation fur that time was pressed.
