roads. Mr. Latimer impressed liis
hearers as being very deeply in
earnest in his woik and closed his
speech by saying that there waa
nothing besides religion and educa
tion of more importance than this
question of good roads.
At the conclusion of Mr.Latimer's

Clerk of Court, Treasurer, Adilor,
Supervisor, Supt. of Education and
Probate Judge next spoke.
Dr. T. J* Strait; candidate for
Congress, was present but on ac
count of rain lie did pot make a
speech.
The day was most delightfully
ftpent by everyone. The good peo
ple of Urthune possess the happy
faculty of making visitors glad to
he with them. We are under spe
cial obligations to that piinoe of
good fellows. Mr. Dan McDonald,
and Messrs. N. A, and D. M. Be
thuna for courtesies shown us. <r
