County and Slalw Hoards of Dis
pensary Commissioners have grant
ed the privilodge to the town coun
cil of Kershaw to open up a Dis
pensary in said town in the county
of Kershaw.
The Council became convinced
that the kind of prohibition we are
enjoying is a great farce, and decid
ed that the Dispensary was the
heat Molution.
Now the Lancaster people are
coming forward and putting forth
strenuous efforts to prevent Ker
?h aw county exercising her rights]
!:or own way.
These Lancaster people will he j
around to see you shortly with a
petition to sign asking that there he
no Dispensary opened. Tliey did
not get your consent when they'
opened up the other Dispensnr.y in
Lancaster county. Not only that
but they did not divide profits with
Kershaw county. Now, It is high
time that you assert your manhood
and allow them that you are capa
ble of running your own county
alTaiis. .Juat think of how you
were treated in the matter of the
election of a cotton %elgher at Ker
shaw. They had a law paited to
debar you from over participating
in the election of a weigher. You
iiave boon outraged. Ate you go
