From a private letter received
from Batajsburg we learn that thoruj
has been a great revival (n tho Bap
tist Cburoh at that placo. The
meeting dosed on Sunday night
lust with forty-nine additions, thir
ty-two of whom were baptised last
:Saturday afternoon. An effort is
bolng made to build a new Chuteh
?at Batetburg to cost about ^10,
<000. Many who had mad*' subscrip
tions increased the amounts already
^promised, and many new subscrip
tions were made. The congrega

dition.
We find flint the new bridge known as
the "Burdell Bridee" on Twenty-Five
Mile Creek in in an unsafe condition.
The new foot-way at the Team bridge
ii unsatisfactory.
It bss been reported to us that Mr. H.
T. Jdlinton and Mr. W, E, West, school
trustee*, approved a ohtim oj Thirty
nine dollars to jiav for repairs on the
Providence school bulldlnu in Pistriot
No. 15 wb?n tho actual worth did
not amount to more than 8 or 4 dollars,
and that thlrly-Uve dollars ef the said
thirtytuine dbllars were paid to a roach
or who did riot have a certificate.

proper authoritiea some of his books.
This matter was reported by tho Qrand
Jury at the last term of Court and noth
ing has been done about the matter.
