The City Election.

Aldermen for another term, the

disturb fh? public mind. Whatev
er may have been the differences of
rival faction*, whatever influence
each may have exerted for its re
spective candidates ? nil is now be
hind tts. Successful and unsuc
cessful candidates should willing
ly bury the political hatchet and
?ndeavor to pull together for tho
betterment aud prosperity of the
city.
One cannot overestimate the re
sponsibility of the city olJlcials. In
their hands rests eithor the pro
gress or the retrogression of Cam
don. We have full confidence in
the ability of our "Cl'y *s
thers," and feel assured they will
work conscientiously, dispassion
ately and Judiciously for the public
good.
What tho community needs is
sewerage; also arc lights and tho
Improvement of streots in the an
nexed districts and the filling in o'
ditches generally. The Council we
ruo sure will give all these matters
proper consideration.
Above all let there be concerted
action. Lot all factions work for'
one goal. Let every citizen co-op
erate with the Council. The re
sult will be the uplifting and ad
vancement of Greater CAuiden.
