A prema ture explosion at Stewart's granite quarry, two miles south of this city, Friday morning, caused the death of three negro workmen and tho injury of several others. At a meeiing of tho trustees of Richmond College it '.vas resolved to establish a shool of technology to be named in honor of Hon. J. L. M.
