The Enquirer has a big red onion
sent in by Mr. J no. M. Smith, of
plover, tuid behind it there ia an
interesting story. The onion i? th<?
product of seed planted lust March.
Mr. Smith prepared an acre patch
ffe fertilized U'heavily with stable
manure and put on it also 400
pounds of high grade ammoniated
goods. Koi- some reason he got
only half a stand. The patch wan
cultivated carefully and the yield
