Death of Mrs. Kershaw.
Mrs. Tiiicretia lvcrshaw. widow of
Gen. J. B. Kershaw, died >it her
home on Lyttlolon street last Tues
day morning. The funeral took
place from the Episcopal church
at half past live cjfoloek,
being conducted by Rev. W. B.
Gordon. The honorary pall bear

MeDowull, Elizabeth Sieedman,
Margaret Garrison, Neville Pope,
Flora Kennedy and Cora Carrison,
walked in pairs, Tollowed by their

Fire one day last week destroyed
the residence of Mr. Wallace Hall
near Bcthunt. The house was per
fectly new and Mr. Hall had not
long moved into it. The firo oc

house and contents wore a total
loss.
Jim Levy, colored, after a linger
ing illness of about a month, died
last Sunday nigh'. He was well
thought of by all who knew him and
was one of the' few old colored peo
