Camden,
On Wednesday morning last a
special train carrying the students
of Winthrop college to the Exposi
tion passed through Camden over
the S. C. iV On. Kx. and Coast Line
v railroads. The train was beauti

train is expected to puss through
Comdon on I to return to Rock Hill
about 12 o'clock tomorrow (Satur

stroyed hy lire yesterday afternoon.
The lire was discovered to be on
the roof and nothing could be done
to save it. 'ibis was one of the
few old ante-bellum homesteads
that have been left arid was one of
the Uncut in this section or coun
try. Mr. K. K. Ketuhert, the own
er, has the sincere sympathy of his
friends In tho ureat loss he has
sustained. Very little was saved

the silver and nany other family
relics were a complete lobg. It is
understood that the house was par
tially covered by insurance but Mr.
Uembert was on hie way to Char
leston at the time and the amount
could not- be ascertained.
