Colin, tlic oldest, son of Mr. and
14^. S. R. J. Smithryf lie 11!ah, ag
etrabout 16 or 17, died at -i o'clock
last Wednesday morning-, after a
short illness of fever. While the
relatives;of the yonuj} man were in
Caruden on business relating to the
burial, intelligence wus received
that Mr. Johnio Murchison, an un
cle of Colin Smith, who lived at
Swift Creek, had died that same
morning at 8 o'clock. Mr. Mur
chison also died of fever. He was
about 43 years of age. Both bur
^iale tool; place at the same hour at
Heulah church on Thursday after
noon.

Memorial Day.
Memorial exercises will be held
at the Camden cemetery next
Tuesday afternoon. An interest
