Dowell took its flight from oarth' to
be at rest wldi God. He was born
in Kershaw county, Juno 1, 1857.

county, where he married Miss Anna
Roese and settled near her father's
homestead, and developed into one
of our most skillful farmers.
During a time of refreshing from

Jamison preached h i h last sermon I
??s pastor of the Camden Baptist
church on Sunday Inst, and left on J
Wednesday for Creenwood. Kev.
W. M. Duncan, pastor of the Moth
ortnt church called in his night ser
vice and he and his congregation
were present at the Baptist church,
Mr. Duncan assisting Mr. Jamison
in the service. His prayer for Mr.
and Mrs. Jamison and their duugh
j t(fr was beautiful and touching.
At a conference held after the
morning service the following res
olutions offered by Bro. J. II. Good
ale were adopted by a rising vote :
Whereafc, this church has been
called upon to accept the resigna
tion of Bro. A. 1'. Jamison as their
paula^herefore he it resolved,

oi Bro Jamison's labors as pnator
of the Camden Baptist Church, he
has endeared himseii to us by his

Afrs. W. It. Malone died on Tues
day night last about 10 o'clock.
Mrs. Malone was the mother of our
highly esteemed alderman, Mr. W,
K. Malone, and was one oj the best
and most estimable ladies of our
community. The burial took place
at 5 o'clock on Wednesday after
