Tin a bright Juno day* .the- warm
rays of tbo sun lill all the land with
beauty and gladness. The little
(lowers meekly lift their heads to
oatch tho first morning beams of tlio
sun, But. as tho groat monarch of
day rides on his fiery chariot, the
warm bright rays aro changed to hot
piercing streams. Then we notice
in a short while that thn liitln fli.w.
ers have all drooped their heads.
As wo stand gazing on this seeno
of nature, we see just above tho hor
izon a tiny cloud drifting slowly
o'er the vast bluo sky; hut wo ? are
soon awakonod from our roverio by
the (.oft patter of the raindrops as
they beat upon our backs. Then it
is that wo realise that in so short a
ttme, the clouds gather, and rain
drops fall silently upon the earth
all of this wondrous change made in
in a few minutes.
But let us take another view of
nature, aftor the shower J I ho flow
ers have all lifted their heads and
are drinking In the bright drops that
were loft upon their faccu.
The clouds not only bring the
showers, but thoy protect us from
the hot glaring rays of tho sun. In
winter they pend to us the snow, so
pure and white, in which we all tiud
so much enjoyment, playing snow*
ball, and going sleigh-riding. And
fro all agroe with Sholly, when he
speaks for the clouds :
"I bring fresh showery for t|}e f.hirstjng
flowers, ^
From the sens rikI the streams;
I bear light shade for tho leaves when
Jftld , ,
lo their noon-day "reams,
Prom my wings u^o shaken tho clews
that waken.
The sweet bir?ls? every one,
When rooked to rest, on their mothers
breast
As she fiance" about the*Jin.
I sift the snow on the ho low
An<l their great pines grmni aghast
Ami sH the night, 'tis my pillow of white
VCTrtte I sleep in the arms of the blast."

CLOUDS.
At out ninety-eight millions of
miles away, the littlo rays of sun
shine leave the sun and wind their
way towards the earth, and, laden
with heat, they strike the oceans,
seas and streams, bringing up tho
little particles of water and carrying
them up, arjsjgted by tho wind, un
til they reach an attitude which is
light enough for theso small parti
cles to oollcot. Hero It rocks and
floats above the earth, and a^aln It
is dissolved into rain and refreshes
the products of tho earth as well as
the inhabitants thereof. There are
many varieties of clouds; all varieties
do not emit rain, these are generally
a gf'cat height; soma are the sign
of dry weather rather tliuu rata.
On arp#iny day theclotjds are gen
erally near ?thp earth. During a
storm, the clonda seem to ftlipopl
touch the tree tops. Storms are al
ways accompanied by a great amount
of electricity which is ?oen in the
form of lightning. Electricity wsh
developed from the clouds by Benj j
Franklin, Therefore comes the nse^i
of nloudi.
fine ea^th yfoujd ho o barren
prain'e if it were not for clouds.
What could exist without rain? No
vegetation, therefore no man or
beast. How pleasant it ia, after a
summer shower when everything
was withering and covered with
dust, the sultry hours, moving away
so slowly, are revived and stimulat
ed and the atmosphere in cleared and
we breathe once more the cool, in*
vigorating air.
As a general thing that which is
so useful and cannot be dono with
itmt is not beantiful, as the camel;
bat the most beautiful scene in na
ture is a beautifnl subset, or a sun*
set which is ornamented by clouds
whioh give every hue and are dis
,persed in?o every shape and size,
seetmng like a beautiful palace with
mountains and all kinds of beauti
scenery shown on the background.
And the clouds which form in banka
and strata Me very beautiful, look*

To My Friends & Patrons:

This in the beginning of another veason with cotton at 4 and
5 cents per pound. This meand cheap goods or no sale. , I
have got tho goods and they have got to Be Rold and as I have
always said I never allow any one to undersell mc, the money
is what I want and that I am going to have if you come in my
store. I have a big stock as usual, fresh and nice; never have
any old stale stock.
FRESH GOODS j
coming in pvery (Jay. I wont in business in 1894 when cotton
was about the same prices it is now and I am still here doing
my share; some predicted that I would not j>ull through that
season. Low priced cotton don't frighten Ihc, I have gone
through a hotter battle than this. j[ sold my goods for such
small profits, I find that it pays to make small profits and quick
sales. I have kept it up and don't want to change it. j will
Hay to those who have stores in the country to come in and I
will divide the profits with you as have always dene. Some
business houses may tell you they carry a larger stock than 1
do, yQu can say to them you get more for a dollar .
AT HINSON'S
than you get tram them, it makes but little difference to you
Ibow much stock they carry. What you want it all you can
get for your money. I am satisfied wjth the past and I know I
1 will be withtho future fori am worlting just as hanf for -ytmr
trade as I ever did, Come on you will Qnd me at the same
