Mr. Flnley Doing Well.
The following press dispatch
from Washington, dated Mnrch IS,
- is very complimentary to Mr. Kin
ley, our new representative iu Con
gress. It says:
l,Mr. Finley, of South Carolina,
the new member from the Fifth
district, is becoming ono of the pop
ular members of the House of Rep
resentatives and i<j a hard working
member. He is during the present
Congress a member of the coninit
tee on Territories, which i? consid
?~""*red during this Congres* as nn
important committee. He in al.-o
a member of tho committee on rail
roads. Tho committee on Terii
tories, of whfch he is a member,
has had under consideration the
bill providing for the government
of Hawaii, which ha* just passed
the Senate. t.;Tho bill came up on
Saturday, and an order was made
to take the meaanre up for consid
eration on April 3, 4, fi, the vote to
" be taken on its passage on the lat
ter nam?d date. Tho unanimotie
consent necessary for this order be
ing made was obtained largel\
through the influence of Mr. Fin
ley, who represented the minority
in the discussion of the measure.
During the coming debate on Ha
waii, Mr- Pinley will probably de
i? liver a speech in the Houso of Rep
resentative* upon the subject.'*

If so, write to the Southern Paint Company of PineblufT, JST.
0., and secure their price list. They can give you a better
paint at less money than you can get elsewhere. They do
not belong to the trust and can sell at less price than those
who do. This is a Southern eritorprfcc and should be* patron
ized by Southern people. VThe Publisher of this paper will ar
range to secure paints for any of his subscribers, who would
like to order through The Chronicle. This paint han a thick
heavy body so that buyers can add Linseed oil and make the
paint <50 further, and save money, as the oil will cost about
fifty cents a gallon.
Write to the company telling them what colors yi,u want
and how much, and price will be given. The paint contains
the best material and a guarantee goes with every can, barrel
and package of paint.
