Accident on The Radroad.
A few days ago Mr. Illiuhin Hell,
of Westville, was going to Ker
shaw. At ono of the crossings
above \V>stvilh> the engine struck
(lie horse he was driving killing it
instantly. The horse was a very
fine one which Mr. Hell valued
very highly. ;
A Rough Joke.
Home one carried a bogus tele
gram to the Cantey Hill military
company on last Friday stating
that the company had heen order
ed by Gov. Kllerbe to report for
duty at Camden at 2 o'clock on
Sunday. This report naturally
created some excitement, especially
among some of the ladies of that
community When it was found
out by the company that it was on
ly an "April Fool" there was some
talk of hunting with buggy whips
