Death of Capt. Dovo Seegars.
Capt. Dove Stegars died at Ker
shaw on last Sunday morning by a
second stroke of paralysis. Capt.
Seegnrs served with conspicuous
gallantry in the late war as Capt.
of Co. K. 7th S. C. Batallion. He
was born in Chesterfield county
and was about GO years of age.

Hydrophobia.
Mr. J. A. Mcl'owell, of Westville,
met wjth the misfortune of losing a
most valuable horso last week bi
hydrophobia. The horse was bitton
by a road dog about three weeks ago.
Before its death the horse
became ex remely violent, trying to
, . bite everything that it came in con*
tact with, and had to be -nailed up
in the stable until it died.
