As many of our schools are
etarting up now we will say a few
words about the employment of
teachers, by trustees. It would be
well not to employ any teacher un
til you are satisfied that he or she
has a eortilloato of qualification
from the proper authorities, aa all
teachers who are not registered in
this county will have to show their
ccrtificutcM before they can collect
for to vching. Trustees should con
sult the wishes of tho patrons in
employing teachers, for an unpop
ular teaoher will do little, if any
good, in a school. Of course, tius
tees have the power to employ
without consulting anyone, but
they should never exorcise it ; the
"Hoard of Education would not hes
itate to removu any trusters who!
exercised such dictatorial power
against the wishes of the people.
