A few days ago Mr. J. F. Kntz*
minger left Camden in llio after
noon and went 7 miles hey on d
Hly the wood, and the road in any

ing. On W?t Saturday ho made
the trip from Columbia to Camden
in about <1 hours. On his way he
had quite an experience with an ox.
In the quiet country about fifteen
miles from Cumd*>n some colored
people were at work, und a hot and
tired ox was faithfully pulling ?

the road lite wheelmon passed.
Not liking the sight of llio "Hying
man" his oxship suddenly' wheeled,
snorted, kicked and ran making the

damage was done to the corn
through which he so unceremoni
ously passed which, of course, Mr.
