Sanders, of Hagood, broglit to Cnnidcn on last Satur day never a) bales of cotton for which hi! got 7/e per pound. Mr. Sanders says tho line snmplo is due largely to the excellent, nia chiuerv used in ginning the cotton. The machinery is the finest in the State and was purchased and put upj by V- C. Dradham, of Columbia. What Soy You, Gentlemen? The present arrangement for the operatives at the factory to gi;t up town is exceedingly inconvenient, the route being cul of the way and in bad condition. \Ve understand that there is belonging to the town an unopened street between the 3 C's railroad and the swamp run ning parallel with the railrpad. If] this street was opened up find I)e Kalb street extended thereto the distance to the factniy from the main \>a r t of town would be re duced about onc-lhird and would be a gre^t benefit both to the town and factory. We think it would be well for the town and factory oflloers to get together and see what could he done in that direc tion. What 8 ay you, gentlemen? ?
