several feet in the air, and fell in
an unconscious condition in the

Sad Death ot a Sweet Little Girl.

A peculiarly sad death occurred
- in the home of Mr. W. M. Hinson

years old, was eating pinders last

dentally sucked one of the hulls

avail, and the little sufferer died it

in this State which took in the year of
pur-Lord one thousand eight hundred
and eightv-two. or at any time sub
sequent thereto, failed to register at
suchliine as required by law, or who
has Become a citizen of this State and
who shall register as hereinafter pro
vided In such cases, shall be entitled to
vote for delegates to said Convention.
The polls will be open at 8 o'clock in1
the forenoon and close at 4 o'clock in
tt* afternoon and kept open continu
ously without intermission or adjourn
ment. ?
^At the close of tho aftaetlon the man
agers shaD' immediately proceed to
count u|e ballot*. Within three days
there.'tfter the chairman of the board ol
managers, or one <>1' them to be desig
f iid ted in writing by the board, shall de
. liver to f ho commissioners of election
the poll lists, tin* boxes containing tin
ballots. and a written *taten ent of the
{election at Ins precinct.
' The managers shall administer to
each person so offering to vote, an oath
that he is qualified to vote at said elec
tion, according to the constitution of
the State,, and that he has not already
voted in said election.
At each precinct a space or enclosure
such as the managers shall deem proper
and snflicient shall be raijf-d off or oth
erwise provided with an opening for
the entrance of the voter at one end or
side and an opening at tin* other T6r his
exit, t?s a polling place. But one voter
shall be allowed to enter any polling
placid at one time, and no om except
the managers shall be allowed to siwak
to the vo?er while in the polling place
casting 1 i* vote.
Any neglect or refusal to perform the
duties imposed upon managers is pun
ishable by fine of not more than one
whousind dollars or imprisonment for
not more than one >ear.
