I have just return- d home from a
trip through the eastern hills of
Kershaw and have enjoyed myself
immensely among the young ladies
of that section. 1 saw some things
that made the heart heat a little
faster. To begin with we had the
opportunity of looking over the
farms of some gentlemen who live
on the earstern side of- Wateree;
one of them says he has not bought
a s>?'gle pound of hacon for his own
use in several years. Such f irmer*
is what we wawt to see and what
the country needs to no ike the dust
and fog of the ? present financicial
cowuftion disperse.
We are sorry to report the death
of Mrs, Mamie McCleod which hap
pencd last Thursday. Her family
has our heartfelt sympathy.
Mr. N. 8. McCleod, wno has been
quite sick, is improving.
