has excited considerable discussion ami
comment, for the most part favorable,

ranks of these who oppose Tillman and
everything Tillmanic for no^other reason
than that. Tillman wants so and so
done, which being the case, it most be
wrong on general principles, allow rae
to state my cwu position . I do not favor
an increase in the poll tax, while the
present public school and county gov-,
eminent systems continue, but as I hope
they will exist after the next session of
the Legislature, I do favor the increase
