The Better-Halves bridge club had
a delightful meeting Friday after*
noooi with Mn. William Nettles, Jr.
at her home on Lauras St, There
were two tables of club mfeanbex*
and an extra table was added for the
following guests:. Misses Faitta de
Loach, Virginia Haile, M&ry Good
ale and Olive Nettles. \The high

by Miss Virginia Haile* and far club
members by Mrs. Jack Nettles. Dur
ing the games iced drinks were ser
ved and at t^e conclusion of the ptey
a salad course was served.

urday afteonoon by Miss Olive Net
tles at her home on Laurens street,
complimenting Mrs. Shell Sheorn, a
June bride, whose wedding in Co
lumbia on June 6 was a prominent
aeeial affair.

decorated in lovely summer flowers.

consolation was cut by Miss Gertrude
Zemp.
The hostess presented a lovely
gift to the honor guest, Mrs. Sheorn.
During the afternoon iced drinks
were served and at the conclusion
of the bridgee games cantaloupe a-,
la- mode was served.

ale, and Mrs. Beaver.
The high score prize was won by
Mms. Dess Goodalp the low score by

and Gaffney the past week. Mrs.
