On Monday night a meeting was
held in the town of McBee for the
purpose of organizing a branch of
the Fiah and Game Association of
S. C. Those who attended from this
town were: Kirkland Trotter, Vice
President of the State Assn., Deas
Boykin, president of the local chap
ter, W R Bonsai, and Lambert De
Pasa The following officers were
elected to assume leadership of the
newly formed organization:
President, Enwnett Raley
Vice-President, Reuben Ingrain
Secretary-Treas W. E. Kerr,.
The meeting waa very enthusiastic]
with a large number of sportsmen in
attendance. G. H Alford, in charge
of tflfe Government Park Areas Pro
gram in that County, promised that
he would do all possible in helping
establish game refuges and in setting
aside the lands for forest conservation
and (preservation of wild life.

Benefit Dance Friday Night
There will be a Dance Friday night
at the old Court House on lower
Broad Street, under the sponsorship
of tihe Camden Football team. Danc
ing will begin proir^ptly at 9:30. A
five piece colored orchestra will fur
nish the music. Last Friday night a
very successful dance was held for
the benefit of the team, and it is
hoped that in the futuro the Football
boys will receive the sauna hearty
support*

which were made attractive with
vases of garden flowers.
Miss Barbara Hickox made the
highest score and was given an at
tractive knitting bag. A gift was
also presented to Miss Dabney.

CLUB.
Mrs. Leo Mays was hostesa on Fri
day afternoon to the members of the
Better Halves bridge club and tho
following additional guests: Mvs.
Irving Pearce, Mrs Dess Goodale and
Miss Virginia Haile. In tho bridge
games the high score prize waa won
by Mrs Basil Brucc and tho 2nd high
score prizo by Mrs Ralph Little. A
delightful sweet course waa served
by the hostess.

the Night Owls' Club, and Miss

played and a sweet course was served
later in the evening. Miss Carolyn

and Dickey Branham won the boys
high score prize and the floating
prize.

Juniors Defeat Seniors in Basketball
Game Monday Night
A very exciting basketball game '
was witnessed Monday night in the
Armory Hall, between Mho Camden
High Juniors and Seniors. The
graduating boys were entirely out
classed on account of the fact that
the majority of the juniors in the
game were regular players and of
course have been in all of the con- ;
tests during the season. Tho exhi- !
bition was for tho benefit of tho I
Junior-Senior banquet and a small |
admission was charged. The final
score was 31-13 in favor of th>
Juniors.
