try by early settlers from Pritain and

Effects of War Gates
Most physicians believed at the
close of the Wdrld war that the re
sults of the gas attacks during the
war would surely be the development
of tuberculosis and bronchial trou
bles among the victims. Fifteen
ears have passed without the feared
after effects.
A careful check by the War de
partment and the Veterans bureau
has revealed that very few of the
tubercular and bronchial cases can
be laid at the door of gas attacks.
In most of these cases it Is believed
that the germs were already present
and not caused by the gas. Medical
officers believe that enough time has
passed to show up any after effects
caused by the gas experience. ?
