Mrs. Kirby Tupper was hostess to
jthe contract bridge club of which she
is a member Friday afternoon at her
home, at -Millihenry plantation. These
playing besides club members were:
Mrs. L. H. Schenk, Mrs. Ethel Murch
ison and Miss Emma Villepigue. Top
score for the afternoon was won by
Mrs. Carrol DesChamps. The hostess
served cookies, sandwiches and tea.

of five tables given on Wednesday

Kain, the consolation prize went to
Mrs. Leon Tobin. The hostess assist

Friday evening by Mr. and Mrs. F. D
Goodale. On Thursday veening four
tables of guests enjoyed the GoodaleV

members were present. Before the
bridge games the hostess served mosl
delicious refreshments consisting of
chicken chow-mein, hot cheese bis
cuits, cinnamon toast, asparagus sal
id, pickles and coffee. Higji score
for the afternoon was made by Mrs
Murchison.
MEETING OF NEIGHBORHOOD
BRIDGE CLUB
Miss Alberta Team entertained at
bridge Wednesday afternoon, her
guests including the members of the
Neighborhood bridge club and Mrs.
L. H. Schenk, Mrs. Lee Little and
Miss Adu Montgomery.
Vases of swoet peas and frieias
made an attractive setting for the
olayers. Top score prize was won by
Mrs. Joe Thomas, second high by' Mrs
Alexander Clarkson. Delightful re
freshments consisting of charlotte
russe, pound cake and cookies were
served by the hostess.

have returned from a visit to Mrs
Wilson's parents in Union, S. C.
