VALENTINE PARTY.
The Womaft's Missionary Society
of the Lyttleton Street Methodist
Church gave a very enjoyable and
most attractive Valentine Party at
the parsonage, Thursday evening.
For this occasion the spacious
rooms were thrown ensuite and very
artiscally decorated . in red-hearte
and Valentines.
EachH guest on their arrival had
their waist measure taken by Mrs
Louise Cantey and Mr. Nuite paying
a penny for each inch measured.
Among some of the very attractive
games played were: The pillow re
lay race, fortune telling, ringing the
bottle, suit case race, marshmallow
race, corn contest, and Valentine
contest. Prize winners in the var
ious contests were: Dr. Wimberly
Marion Williams, Mrs. Copeland
Masqey, Billy DeLoache and Mir
Noell. ; * ' '
During the evening a most pleas
ing musical program was readered
by Mrs. James Gandy, Mrs. Ernest
Zemp and Mr. Newell Wimberly.
Delicious punch and home made
cake were served from two punch
bowls in tlie dining room where red
lighted tapers burned in silver can
dlesticks.
Jewelry in the purse of Mrs. A
Pabst, employe in the police depart
ment, was taken by thieves who en
tered the public safety building In
Tacoma, Wash.

CLUB HOSTESS.
Monday evening Miss Faith dr
Loach very delightfully entertained
the "Spinster's Club" at her home on
Lyttleton Street. All club members
were present.
Vases of yellow jonquils made an
attractive setting for the players
High score for the evening was won
by Miss Mary Goodale.
The hostess served a delightful
salad course with sandwiches and
coffee.

On Saturday morning Miss Nancy
Watts entertained the ~"D. C. O. C."
bridge club. Three tables were ar
ranged for bridge in the living room
which was artistically decorated with
Talentine colors, vases of red poppies
further carried out the color scheme.
Miss Ellen Little won high score
prize and low score went to Misr
Caroline Nelson.
