MRS. HENRY SAVAGE, SR? HOSTESS TO CLUB On. Saturday afternoon at her home on Lyttteton street, Mrs. Henry Sav age entertained the Contract Club of Which she is a member. Ther were ^ two tables of players. Guests of the r*~ elub were Mrs. Warren Harris and Mrs. W. L. DbPass. After" the game delicious refreshments were served. WEEKLY CONTRACT CLUB ENTERTAINED On Friday 'afternoon, Mrs. S. W. Vanlandingham waB hostess to the Weekly Contract Club. The living room was very attractively arranged with pink snapdragons and other spring flowers. Those playing beside club members were: Mrs. J. H. Os borne, M"rs. Henry Niles, Mrs. J. L. ? Williford, Mrs. J. H. Thomas, Miss Minnette Boykin, Mro. Hugh Biliups and Mrs. Hughey Tindal. Club prizes were won by Mrs. J. B. Queen, Mrs. Marvin Reasonover cut consolation. The goiest prize was won by Mrs. Hugihey Tindal. A frozen salad course with sandwiches, cheese crack ers, and tea was served, a color scheme of" yellow being carried out in. the refreshments. MRS. KIRBY T UPPER ENTERTINS On Friday afternoon, Mrs. Kirby Tupper entertained the Bridge Club of which she is a member and an ex tra table, at her homo at Mullberry Plantation. Those playing besides club members were: Mrs. Henry Sa vage, Jr., Mrs. James Allen of New York, Mrs. Lambert DePass, Mrs. C. H. Zemp, "Mrs. Thomwell Hay, and Mrs. Donald Morrison. Club prize was won by Mrs. Mortimer Mullcr, Mrs. Henry Savage, Jr., reclined g<uest prize. Dainty wafers* sand i wichos and coffee were served aftei the game. SPINSTERS CLUB ENTERTAINED Mis? Gertrude Zemp was hostess t<J the Spinsters Club Tuesday evening. Two tables were arranged in the liv ing room which was bright with _ l^iig_ftowearai and ferns. SQUARE DANCE AT LEGION HALL Cta Friday evening the Auxiliary to the Kershaw Medical Association sponsored a square dance at the Le gion Hall. Dr. W. R. Clyburn called the figueres assisted by Mr. Joe Mos sley. Delicious punch was served all during the evening by Mrs. W. A, Dunn and Mrs. ' A. W. Humphries. Mrs. S. C Zemp had charge of the dance. Proceeds from this dance will be used for a student loan fund to be used by 'children of physicians wh; wish. to carry on after their fathers and who have not the means to secure an education in Medecine. MRS. HENRY EIOHEL ENTERTAINS ' One of the loveliest early spring parties, was the one niven Frida. af ternoon by Mrs. Henry Eichel honor ing her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Simon Eichel of St. Louis. There were six tables of contract bridge and several extra guest. Mrs. Herman Baruch won high score prize and the hostess presented the honor guest with a lovely gift. After cards from n lovely appointed tea-table, dainty cakes, sandwiches, mints, tea and cof fee were served. MEN'S HEBREW -BENOVELENT SOCIETY MEETS i Mr. Herman Baruch and Mr. Sam Karesh jointly entertained the Men's I Club of thfi Tempre this week at the home of the former. <xue?t of the club for this- meeting were: Messrs. Dr. Samuel SchilLman and L. M. Gal loway of Sumter^ A. S. Llewelyn, R. M. Kennedy, Jr., Julius Meyer of Baltimore and Father O'Brien. At G:30 a delightful dinner was served by Mrs. Baruch and Mrs. Sam Karesh. Mrs. D. M. Davis owner and man ager of the Camden Beauty Parlor returned Sunday from the Internatio nal Beauty Show held at the Pennsyl vania Hotel in New York. While a way Mrs. Davis took a special course in permanent waving and also studied the latest methods and styles in beau ty culture.
