Two Ptres Last Week.
On Thursday the Are alarm was
sounded. The roof over Mr, Helton
Boykln's kitchen oaught fire, but by
the prompt response of the firemen no
very great damage was done.
On Saturday about midday Mr. J.
C. Blackwell's reaid iioe jn the corner
of Kutledge and Liyttletoh streets
oaught fire, and the roof was all in a
blaze by the time the alarm was sent
in, but by prompt aud heroic efforts a
part of the building was aaved and a
spread of the flames to the adjoining
property was prevented. The loss was
partially covered by insurance.
