A number of effort have been made in Camden to have u similar organization, but so far th record shows that they have all failei' N ,>w another effort is beinK made t? organize a chamber of cotumere. Th first rueetiug was well attended, par tioularly so as it was a disagroeab' evening. The second meeting was a tended by a score of our citizens, le* than a half dozen merchants being pre bont. Now we are not starting o knocking this organization, but rathe are presenting facts that the busipe?> men of Camden may know that ther is an effort being mado to help thei community by organizing and doin something to hold the trade tffat nai urally elongs here and in this way t help thera and to help Camden. Wo aro glad to note that there is ar effort on foot to organize a corn grow ers club in thin county. This of course is in addition to the boy' corn club, which we believe will work successful ly. That any person who violates any of the provisions of this ordinance shall bo guilty of a misde meanor, and upon conviction thereof be lined in a sum not more than one hundred dollars, or imprisoned al hard labor upon the public works of the City of Camden for a period of net more lhan thirty days. Section XI.
