A EI BEY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
To the readers of the Chronicle anc
to those not so fortunate, we wist
to extend our heartiest "Merry Christ
mas." Thof it would hardly seen
necessary. Dermit us. please, to cal
attention to Christmas being a tim<
when we should all be merry. We
are celebrating the birth of Christ
who came into and to save a worlt
sunken in sin and wretched becaus<
- of the hopelessness of it's condition
The angels sang at the time of Hit
coming, "Peace on earth, good will
to men," which should certainly b
every man's slogan at Christmas time
if at no other time.
Many of us have been bereaved
during the past year and poesiblj
are inclined to fe^J saddened
as the day approaches and yet
our loved ones are joining in a wonderful
celebration in Heaven which
would make any making merry, we
might do, fade into Insignificance.
Christ's. earthly birthday must be
a wonderful time of rejoicing * in
Heaven because it meant so much foi
mortals who have gone there.
Numbers of us have been blessed
during the year with health and more
than one happiness and upon us reets
a duty to show our appreciation by
making happy "One of the least ol
these" people, our neighbors.
Let's give Christ a wonderful birthday
present by doing something to
make the needy happy.
And all of us can do our bit with
a smile and a merry Christmas. Don't
wait for the other fellow to do it, you
do it first. It will help make a rea'
merry Christmas.
