Wednesday evening at ti o'clock in the
spacious residence of Dr. W. D. James,
when Dr. Lawrence Elliott Bull of
Cheraw, S. C., and Miss Elizabeth
Hayes of Clurksville, Va., became one.
The Rev. <i. T. Harmon of Cheraw per
formed the ceremony, Prior to the
ceremony the following music was
played: Violin solo, "Spring Song,"
Miss Julia Stewart; vocal solo, "At
,Dawning," Miss Patte James. Then
Mrs Walter McEaeliin played with exquisito
feeling the ''Bridal Chorus"
from "Lohengrin," and the wedding
party came in the drawing room in the
following order:
First, the dame of honor, Mrs. W.
1>. James, came in and stood just to
the left of the minister, who stood
under a large wedding hell, from
which a beautiful canopy of smilax and
other vines was formed. Then the
groom on the arm of his best man, Mr.

came in. Then the bride, who came in
on the arm of I)r. W. D. James, who
gave her away, joined him at the improvised
altar, and they were made
one. Quite a number of handsome
presents were given Miss Hayes.
Dr. and Mrs. Bull left on the northbound
train for Washington, New
York and Niagara Falls, to be gone
several weeks.

to a hospital about four weeks ago 1

recovered sufficiently to be able to return
home, although still suffering
considerably from the wound.

Louise, the little daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. R. E. Rivers, of Chesterfield,
died at the Baptist hospital in Columbia
last Wednesday. She was taken
to Columbia for treatment for appen- g
dicitis but an examination there disclosed
the fact that she was suffering
from some other cause. The little ?
