Sunday night about 7:30 the old Galney
home on south Huger street was

L. house at the time. Quite a lot of household
goods was stored in It, practically
all of which was saved. Monday at

the boys to a small blaze at Mrs. Arlena
James' home caused by a defective

A matter which is of considerable
moment to the men of the local militia

of becoming a law. If this bill
llo passes, it is likely tnat the entire mill
tiu of the country will be greatly imls
proved, for under tbe law it is provided
that each private be paid $1 for
each drill, aud the commissioned offl?.

make their work well worth while.
