The account in last week's Chronicle,
copied from the Chesterfield Advertiser,
about the shooting of a boy
near McBee by rural policeman Moore,
seems to have been very unjust to Mr.
.Moore. As a matter of fact Mr. Moore
shot, not to hit but simply to try and
scare him into stopping. When Mr.
Moore learned that the boy was hit
he gave him the money to go to a hospital
for treatment The wound was
very slight evidently as the boy is now
in jail at Camden.
Our Baptist friends are very enthusiastic
over the continued increase in
membership and general improvement
in their Sunday school and well .they
may be . Last Sunday their roll increased
from 194 members to 205,
while there was present 208. And the
interest in the Baraca class continues
With a membership of 51 there was
present at the last meeting 50.
