Snow Visited Cheraw.
A genuine snow storm descended on
Cheraw Tuesday afternoon. It came
with startling suddenness. About 4
o'elock there came a swirling of flakes
and it continued with scarcely .a mo- i

night it sleeted and snowed, and nil
the next morning it snowed tlie fall
setting lighter ahout 10 o'cloek. About
12 o'cloek the .sun came out and the
snow melted away so fast that a same
of base hall scheduled for that afrernoon
between classes of the Methodist
and Baptist Sunday schools was pulled
off without inconvienee.

Policeman Funtierburk kille<l a mad
dog under Mr. B. C. Ogburn's residence
in the southed part of town Monday
afternoon. The dog had a fit near
the back steps and there seemed to be
ho doubt that it had rabied. It was a

learned no damage was done by the
