annual Flower and Fruit Exhibit at
the League Hall and although the
weather was most inclement the large
number of ladies present, some ol
whom live quite a distance in the
country, testified to the general interest
taken iu this event. Although the
display was not as large as usual,
owing to the poor season, some of the
specimens were the finest ever shown
here and a visitor to the State Fair
reported that she saw there no roses
