Arrangements have about been completed
for the holding of the annual
flower show of the Civic League. The
exact date has uot as yet been decided i
upon because of the backward spring. |
This show promises, however, to be |

tion, or for competition, or as dona
tions to be sold for the beneht ol tue
League, is by 110 means confined to
members of the League, but all are,
invited to send their flowers in any 1
way they think hcst. There will be j
prizes for the several entries. The
premium list has already been printed
and distributed; the list of prizes offered
will soon be announced.
The Civic League wishes to have
very square rod of Cheraw soil relieved
of rubbish, filth and debris, and
to this end invites and urges (be ear*n*t
co-operation of every man, wo-1
man and child in the town. Think of
tke happiness of walking along clean
streets, through clean front yards, into
< !< ; n back yards, chicken yards,
horse jards. where there shall he
nothing to offend the sense of either

of passengers.
Mr. J. C. Blackwell, of Ruby, was
a visitor here last week. Mr. lllackwell
is talking of moving here. Come

Mr. G. E. King, of Hartsvillc, is
visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. R.
B. King.
Miss Roma McDonald, of Bethune,
spent a few hours here last Friday
morning with friends.
Miss May Welch has returned and
resumed her work here as teacher of
the school.
Mrs. Sue Coker. of Hartsville, who
has been teaching while Miss Welch
was away, has returned to her home.
Reading Bolin, son of Mr. and Mrs.
A. A. Bolin, was carried to Columbia
last Tuesday to be operated on for
appendicitis. At this writing he is

Mr. Rogers, who is connected with

The egg hunt at the Methodist'
church was enjoyed by all present and |
